Route

Run 16 miles, swim 3 miles, and cycle 25 miles. In the Prison to Prison Triathlon our contestants will have the opportunity to race from San Quentin State Prison to Alcatraz Prison, located on Alcatraz Island. The race will begin near San Quentin where participants will run about 16 miles to Fisherman's Wharf. From Fisherman’s Wharf participants will swim to Alcatraz Island and back, for a swim of about 3 miles. After swimming participants will cycle starting at Fisherman’s Wharf. Participants will cycle around San Francisco Bay, crossing the John T. Knox freeway, and ending where the race began. Further instruction will be given after signing in.

Contestants will meet at the US Post Office located at 1 Main St, San Quentin, CA 94964 to sign in. Further instruction will be given after signing in.
